Toward Myself
I grew weary of walking with the crowd;
now I wish to turn toward myself.
The questions that have lived in silence for years,
I want to answer within my own soul.
No thirst for fame, no fear of failure—
I only wish to cleanse my heart.
Leaving behind all that belonged to yesterday,
I want to fill myself with the light of today.
The lamp within softly whispers:
everything will fade in time.
What is truly meant for you
will find you in silence.
I searched for temples everywhere,
yet the sacred lived within my breath.
What I sought across the world
had always been resting inside me.
Now the journey is no longer outward;
every step leads inward.
The one who truly sees oneself,
is the one who begins to understand life.
