may be moon described in our geography is not the same as we see by our naked eyes

In the below image (from vitragvani.com) moon is betwwen 800 yojan to 880 yojan, I heard it to be 50 lakh km (833 yojan)

Triloksar

  • पृथ्वी से 790 योजन (47,40,000 km) से लेकर 900 योजन (54,00,000 km) तक ज्योतिषी देवो के विमान है ।

I don’t know, how much updated we (Jains) are in the field of geography.
I’m not suspicious about Jaina geography but the developing science and all the available researches are very much different from our Alaukik Ganit.

I did a bit research with @Sayyam bhaiya in the same context. Please have a look and make it more clear and authentic if it’s possible.

Let’s leave all the estimations and logics aside for a while.

Consider telling anyone “fire” is one sensed organism (एकेन्द्रिय जीव) - no one will believe. Just like no one believed that plant has life before 1901, the year Jagadish Chandra Bose proved plants have life.

BUT Jains knew this for centuries and religiously following Ahimsa even with plants (like not stepping on grass or consuming fruits until they are fully ripe, etc).

Yes, for sure, it’s hard to think against the facts which we are fed-in in school since childhood and are contradictory to the description given in Jain scripture but even the fact that those planets are mentioned (hundreds of years back) in the scriptures without availability of any instruments (like today) is more than enough to encourage us that there are still some rooms to think thoroughly before we make any judgment.

The flawless knowledge flowing down from सर्वज्ञ to गणधर to आचार्य is intact.

Adding my humble opinion wherever you see two suns and two moons it seems to be a translation mistake and here is a rational argument attaching screenshot from original Bhagawati Sutra and translation that translates दीवे to 2. But there is another possibility of translation जंबुद्दीवे and दीवे both end in दीवे . So another translation of दीवे सूरिया which seems more rational is While rising from Dweep (i.e. Earth instead of 2) the Sun (similar for Moon in later part of text). Similar translation checks should be performed for how flat earth came up.

Jai Jinendra!
It comes in Triloksar that Aarya khand of Bharat kshetra rised up by 1 yojan during time of Munisuvratnath Bhagwan.
So due to this it is possible that it took half hemisphere shape, hence one going in East West direction reaches original point and can take round circle but Earth is sticked to Jumbudweep at south,Antarctica. It is like hemisphere.
Due to this day n night occur at different time in just Aarya Khand or Earth.
But how 6 months day n night at north and south poles is main issue.
Secondly what I observed while looking at image of Milky way is it looks like Jyotish lok, means it is in sky.
Scientists say milky way has black hole at center around which whole galaxy revolves.
We have sumeru parvat around which whole jyotish lok revolves,Stars,Planets,Sun,Moon etc.
At center of milky way,it seems like golden colourfull object, this is Sumeru as it has ratna till some height.
And after that height,it is dark, hence as per Scientists,no light gets reflected.Hence they call it black hole, why hole, because science considers Earth is in same plane of Sun,Planets, stars but we are not in that plane,we are on Jumbudweep. So it is actually mountain, but since they consider us in same plane,it is like hole for them.
Still there is irony that how they got whole image of Milky being part of part,as they believe!!
But they gave answer to it also, they say scientists have mapped 1 dimension into 2 dimensional circular plane.
And it is said there are gali, through which these vimans go inward or outward.Same can be seen in image like gali in milky way.
This is something that I can relate.
That’s all, further things, infact all things will be cleared once we become Sarvagya.
Jai Jinshasan, Jai Aadinath
