I always had query on Kshanik Upadan. For every paryay there is a anantarpurva Kshanik Upadan present by niyam. Hence if we go back infinity…what was the first Kshanik Upadan or how was it created…there is no definite answer I found. MMP says jeeva and karma present in one anothe’s vicinity from eternity but in the context of Kshanik Upadan, how does it work. Can anyone please explain.Thanks for your time.

जहां भी विश्व व्यवस्था को अनादि-अनिधन स्वीकार किया जाएगा, वहां first cause या prime mover का concept लागू नहीं होगा। कारण कि first cause या prime mover को स्वीकार करते ही अनादिनिधन वस्तु व्यवस्था सिद्ध नहीं होती। भिन्न कर्ता करण आदि को भी स्वीकार करना पड़ेगा जिससे अन्य बहुत सारे अनुत्तरित प्रश्न उत्पन्न होंगे।
Even going back to infinity, there isn’t any starting point, hence there isn’t any first Kshanik upadan. Though there is always a Kshanik upadaan for every paryay as it is definitive of process(as it indicates what the prior stage or paryay before the particular paryay is), it is not possible to point out the first cause in the eternal series.

Yes, but it is a niyam that every paryay must have prior anantar purva kshanik upadan. Hence how did the first paryay started?
Yes, every paryay will have an anantar purva kshanik upadan.
According to Jainism, there is no FIRST paryay, neither there is any last one. Thus, there could not be the first anantar purva kshanik upadan.
जैन आगम परम्परा में वस्तु को द्रव्य-गुण-पर्यायात्मक स्वीकार किया गया है। वस्तु का द्रव्य भाव तो पारिणामिक भाव रूप से अनादिनिधन है और वस्तु की पर्यायों की श्रृंखला को देखें तो वह भी अनादि अनंत है।
द्रव्य किसी के द्वारा उत्पन्न नहीं किया गया और ना ही उसका किसी के द्वारा नाश होगा (अस्तित्व गुण), और पर्यायों की श्रृंखला का भी कोई बाह्य कर्ता नहीं है- अर्थात ऐसा नहीं है कि किसी ने प्रथम पर्याय चालू की, जिसके बाद से पर्यायों का क्रम अनविरत रूप से चलता रहा। ईश्वर कर्तावादी दर्शन ही इस बात को स्वीकार करते है, और वे ईश्वर को ही प्रथम कारण के रूप में मानते है। पाश्चात्य दर्शनों में भी जो prophetic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) है, वहां ऐसा ही First cause/ Prime mover का प्रथम कारण का सिद्धांत विद्यमान है।
